ABOUT

About

We are a campus ministry of Collegiate United Methodist Church and Wesley Foundation that seeks to make disciples of Jesus Christ on the campus of Iowa State University. We believe that one of the most formative things that students can invest in is their own faith life and we try our best to align all of our programming to meet that need!

A place for all to belong. Where all means all.

How does The Wesley Center connect with the broader United Methodist Church?

Campus Ministry maintains a strong connection with the broader United Methodist Church through various avenues. We often collaborate with local United Methodist churches and their clergy to provide opportunities for worship, fellowship, and service. Additionally, our ministry participates in conferences, retreats, and events organized by the United Methodist Church at regional and national levels. Through these connections, we stay aligned with the mission, values, and teachings of the United Methodist Church, while also contributing to its wider outreach and impact within the community and beyond. Our Campus Minister, Lewis, is a Comissioned Elder in the United Methodist Church and also serves as an Associate Pastor at Ames Collegiate UMC and Wesley Foundation. As a comissioned Elder Lewis has sacramental authority and is able to celebrate communion and baptism in the life of the campus ministry!
